On the way home Sunday afternoon I popped into Make My Cake to picked up a slice of their always perfectly moist and tasty red velvet cake. While waiting, I noticed the collection of postcards advertising local events. Here are a few worth checking out:

This annual event is always a favorite. In addition to the "sampling" there will be events and information available. Hal Jackson of WBLS will be broadcasting live from noon to 4 p.m. and the "sampling" will be from 3-6 p.m. Tickets in advance are $20 for adults and $10 for children. At the door $25 for adults and $10 for children.

The JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL shall have its Gala Celebration and Salute Ceremony, on Monday, June 19th, with a 6:30pm reception and 8:00pm presentation to honor the Workshop’s founders:

A Special Tribute to Theatre Legends:

and the alumni membership since the opening of the FSWW in FY1973.
